The first major deal of the Sundance Film Festival has been sealed.

“Like Crazy,” the Drake Doremus-directed story of a long-distance relationship between a young man and woman (Anton Yelchin and Felicity Jones), has sold to Paramount Pictures, according to a person close to the negotiations.

The news dovetails with our earlier report that production company Indian Paintbrush, the backer of such movies as Wes Anderson’s “Fantastic Mr. Fox,” was keen on the film and had readied an offer that would see it releasing the drama through Paramount Pictures.
